The first picture I am going to tell is the historical painting. From the picture we can see the darkness background creates a feeling of depress it represents the dark fate about the couple. The composition suggests the hopelessness to the couple because the war is outside, this is the last meeting about them. The red fabric in the background indicates that bloody war is waiting for them. The texture of the couple implies they are joyful at that time. The pastel colours make me feel pitiful because they will separate next second because of the war.

The second picture I am going to tell is the abstract painting. From the picture we can see the darkness of the background, it creates a feeling of angry. It represents the people are against the government. The pricky shapes in the picture indicates  people are protest the wold and they are angry. The texture of shapes are implies hopelessness. The use of sweeping but disjointed brush strokes makes me feel the indignation of the people. The contrasting use of colours show the resonate to the people about the feeling of revolt the wold.

In conclusion the two pictures are similar because there are all use the darkness background and indicates the hopelessness with full of war’s wold. However, they differ due to the fact that colours in first picture are pastel but in second picture are pale, they implies different emotion, first picture is the hopeful in the hopelessness the second picture is an angry revolt against the world. The second different is the shapes, one are smooth one are sharp, it shows the different feeling about the war, it is hopelessness and wrathful.
